The sea lions weren’t the only things making noise in Yaquina Bay last week!
One of our favorite things about living in Newport, Oregon is the annual 4th of July firework show — one of the Central Oregon Coast’s largest. This year we’re extra excited because a video is currently being produced that sends a drone into the heart of the production — both behind the scenes and into the actual exploding fireworks.
We recently discovered this project, produced by a video production group called “Uncage the Soul.” You might recognize them as the group behind the popular Portland video titled “Yesterday’s Tomorrow – A Portland Journey,” contrasting the city’s past and present.
The new completed video appears to showcase some of our favorite landmarks in Newport and around South Beach (like the Yaquina Bay Bridge, Rogue Brewing) as the backdrop to the firework show. The completed video will be available to view online beginning July 14th at the Discover Newport website. Until then, enjoy this promo video that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the technology and experts involved in creating one of the largest fireworks shows on the Central Oregon Coast:
